Genesis Core I — Origin Egg began as the search for a physical form capable of holding the idea of origin: something closed, silent and complete, yet containing the possibility of an entire world still unseen.
The work moved from early studies into physical construction. Its outer shell was made from steel and finished in black, giving the Egg a dense, contained presence. Inside, a layer of composite and stone powder was applied, establishing a materially different inner surface beneath the dark exterior.
The making of Origin Egg was not simply the production of an isolated sculpture. It established the first physical language of The Young King Universe.
Its closed form would later lead to Genesis Core II — Fracture of Origin, where that containment is broken, and then to Genesis Core III — Primal Form, where the first bodily presence of The Young King emerges.
Seen in retrospect, the making of Origin Egg marks the moment when an imagined universe first became a physical object.
What followed would grow into characters, seasons, journeys and places.
But the material beginning was here.
Genesis Core I — Origin Egg.
